My Laundry Bag!

So, my tote that I made a few weeks ago I have been using to keep my hand washing in, cause I already have so many shopping totes, so I decided to use my fabric paints and make it my hand laundry bag πŸ™‚

Crisp Packet Bag

Was just nosing about the ole net, and found this page with instructions how to make a bag from crisp packets! I don’t like most of them, but half way down, there is a picture of a bag someone made using these instructions using magazine pages, black and rainbow colours, It’s really quite nice!! If I ever had the time and patience to do this I sooo would…

Although, I do quite like the bowl or basket type one like this:

Support Christchurch

After spending about 2 weeks in Christchurch with a friend at the end of travelling, I feel the need to post this. Noone reads this blog, but if 1 person happens to stumble across it, and feels like donating, that would be amazing. I loved Christchurch and it makes me really sad to think of the city being in the way it is now 😦 I have donated…

Attempting my first pattern!

Sooo, I decided if I want to make any decent clothes, I will have to brave it and try a pattern! So after some hunting for the style I wanted, I found Simplicity 2258 which I actually had to buy off eBay from America as no one over here sold it!!

I have it now anyway, and to save me ruining a load of nice fabric on my first attempt, my mum donated an old sheet which I am trying to make into a pair of shorts! The pieces are all cut out, and ready to start sewing, fingers crossed!!

Not sewing…It’s CAKE!

So, I haven’t posted in a while, been slacking on the ole sewing! But I was just looking through some pics on my camera and remembered I made an AWESOME cake a couple of months back, and thought I would share. It was dark chocolate and orange, so rich and moist and delish. We should all have some of this cake in our lives πŸ™‚

Recipe isΒ here.

(I love the good food website, cause you sign up and make a lil recipe binder of your faves :))

My first tote!

SOOO yesterday I got the mean machine out and made my tote bag from the material I got in the charity shop πŸ™‚

I’m happy with it! Just want to make it pretty now…
